Lactic-Aerobic Intervals

Hello people. Yesterday, you experienced something Geena has started calling “sucky intervals”. Since I need a name that will convince people that I am smart and that they should give me money, I shall call them “lactic-aerobic intervals”.

But since you have to go through them, you can call them whatever you want….because they will always be very, very hard. If there is one protocol I can count on having to try to keep someone from turning into a sobbing pile of flesh during a workout, this is it. Sometimes they will be “easier” than other, and certain sections will be more or less difficult, but generally they will all look something like this:

2-4 rounds:
Barbell Movement
Bodyweight movement
Monostructural movement
Rest period around half the estimated time to complete

Longer Rest period

In simple words; We are training your ability to repeat high intensity efforts over a long period of time. The benefits this style of training has for your fitness are immense: better and faster movement, higher overall intensity with a higher overall volume, and it will pound your mental game into rubble and rebuild it into something pure and glorious.

If you go into these intervals with an idea of what a “good performance” and what a “bad performance” is, they will make you very sad and you will lose. If you go into these intervals with the intent to train and commit acts of violence, you will win.

We need to win, every single time.image-1
